Each September in Charlotte, the 21st Century Building Expo and Conference is held. It has the largest selection of trade-related education classes that allow me to stay current and earn certifications that help us build better homes for our clients. It is a great opportunity to see what is popular in the industry and what is on the horizon for the next year. As part of the Expo, The Stars Award Program allows builders from across our state to submit their projects to be judged by some of our industries leaders and experts. Being an active member of our local Home Builders Associations, I attend this every year but this is the first time that I have submitted a project to be judged.
This rustic house plan promotes open living spaces with a floor plan that provides abundant places to enjoy breathtaking views, elegantly blending the outdoors with the indoors. From covered porches and multiple decks to a large lodge room offering a great view through a wall of windows, this mountain home plan embraces tranquil living. Through our excellent team of craftsman and suppliers, we were able to complete one of our most noteworthy homes to date.
My sincerest thank you goes to all of my team, subcontractors, and designers that helped this project win the 2015 NCHBA Star Award for the $500,000.00 – $750,000.00 category. To see the entire photo collection for the Sudderth Residence, please click here.
