PARTIAL Renovation
Fairview Refresh

This home renovation in Fairview, NC focused on updating and improving the house’s living quarters while creating more functional and comfortable spaces for the family.

The master suite was completely reimagined and rebuilt. The project began with demolition of the existing bathroom to create additional hallway circulation space and add a new storage closet. We then reframed the area to accommodate a new office, along with a separate private suite for the master bedroom and bathroom. As part of the renovation, we also installed all new windows and a sliding glass door to maximize natural light, provide expansive views, and create direct access to the deck.

The new master bathroom includes several high-end features including heated floors, a heated towel bar, a freestanding tub, and a custom shower enclosure integrated into the vanity design. The layout was also designed to include a private water closet with a bidet, as well as separate his-and-hers vanities, creating a spacious and functional retreat.

The hall bedroom and bathroom were remodeled into an aging-in-place suite for the owners’ mother. This included the addition of a zero-entry shower with grab bars, a handheld shower head, and space for a freestanding shower seat to improve accessibility, safety, and long-term comfort.

The daughter’s suite received a thoughtful refresh while maintaining the existing layout. In the bathroom, we installed a new vanity countertop and hardware, replaced the shower trim and valve cartridges, and updated the toilet, bath accessories, light fixture, and mirror to give the space a clean, refreshed look. In the bedroom, we repainted the space, installed new window coverings, and added a dividing curtain to create a dedicated makeup area.

The existing office was transformed into a dual-purpose office and guest room featuring a custom-built Murphy bed, allowing the space to remain both functional and flexible.

New flooring was installed throughout to seamlessly match the existing living room, kitchen, and dining room flooring, and the hallways were repainted to blend with the existing finishes. All rooms also received electrical upgrades, including new outlets, updated lighting fixtures, and integrated dimmers for all recessed can lighting.
