Southern Living Home Summit 2019

Another fantastic time at the Southern Living Home Summit and this year it was held in the beautiful, historic city of Savannah, Georgia.  Savannah’s Live Oak Trees with Spanish Moss, Cobblestone Streets and 22 Squares & Parks created nostalgia and it was like we fell back in time.

There were several awesome highlights and one of them was meeting Ben & Erin Napier from the HGTV show “Home Town”.  A truly dynamic duo!

Sid Evans, Editor of Southern Living Magazine, interviewed Ben & Erin and they are hilarious!  It was an honor to hear them share stories from their past and working on set.  Ben & Erin met in College at Ole Miss. Erin was the designer of the Yearbook and decided to write a story on the 10 most interesting people of the year. Well, Ben was known to sit with students who sat alone at lunch and Erin admired him for this. When she interviewed him, Ben confessed he’d been in love with her for months. They were engaged 6 days later!!  They’ve written a book together- “Make something good today”.   A fun fact- on their HGTV Show, Home Town, they are on a tight budget that makes them get super creative repurposing fixtures & finishes.

Proposal moments caught on camera.

Another fun highlight was meeting Interior Designer, Ashley Gilbreath, a Southern Bell of Montgomery, Alabama.

We had a great time and learned so much!  We are honored to be part of the Southern Living Custom Home Preferred Builder Team!
