Our experience with Rick Buchanan and the staff at Buchanan Construction was extremely positive. The end result is a beautiful, comfortable, well-constructed home. We were first-time home builders and so relied on Rick’s experience and judgment every step of the way. At the same time, Rick met with us often, especially during the
pre-construction and early construction phases to find out what our needs and desires were for our home.
Rick listened to our questions and ideas, offered sound advice and allowed us to get as involved as we wanted throughout the process. Because of this, our home reflects our tastes and is well-suited to the needs of our family’s lifestyle.
We are a small family and never wanted a big home, bucking the current trend toward larger and larger homes. Rick acknowledged and respected our decision and worked with us to build the home we wanted. He reviewed many house plans and offered the type of suggestions only a skilled builder could, which helped us to narrow down and eventually select what we feel is the perfect home for us.
We visited the construction site often through the building process. The site was always well-maintained, and the staff and subs professional yet friendly, so each visit left us feeling enthused and excited about our new home. We especially enjoyed working with the job foreman who kept things running smoothly and efficiently.
Our house was completed in seven months and we have been living in it for almost two months. We love our home and feel that it could not have been equaled by any other builder. Perhaps as important as the quality of the home is quality of the people who built our home. Rick Buchanan and the staff of Buchanan Construction were knowledgeable, professional, communicative, and extremely pleasant and easy to work with, all of which is reflected in the quality and beauty of our home.
